#119 posing pretty

This locomotive is a replica of the original 119 (which was scrapped) built by O'Connor Engineering in the 1970s for the national park system.    It and the replica Central Pacific 'Jupiter' locomotive operate at the Golden Spike Historic Site at Promontory, Utah, recreating the golden spike ceremony that joined the two halves of the trans-continental railroad at that site in 1969.  

Each year the Golden Spike Historic Site does a limited number of winter run days with one of the locomotives only, after Christmas.
